Jaguar Philippines recently launched The New Jaguar XE at the Palace Pool Club. Featuring Jaguar’s advanced engineering design and technology. Its the most aerodynamic Jaguar car ever produced, developed through Jaguar Land Rover’s new modular vehicular structure, it has a long 2.835mm wheelbase with a low seating position that helps deliver a streamlined profile.
Its 75% aluminum density is delivered through a monocoque architecture, the first in the compact executive car segment to be built in this manner. Using aerospace-inspired joining technology, you’re assured of an outstanding combination of strength, stiffness and durability of the chassis.
Powered by the same 2.0-litre four cylinder unit which made its debut in the Jaguar XF and XJ. Now tweaked for the New Jaguar XE, this refined, lightweight power plant is available in two turbocharged power ratings: 200PS @ 5,500rpm with torque at 280Nm between 1,750-4000rpm and 240PS @ 5,500 rpm with 340Nm of torque between 1,750-4000rpm both mated to the ZF 8HP45 8-speed automatic transmission. It’s equipped with a exhaust gas recirculation system, their powertrain engineers have integrated the most advanced exhaust gas after-treatment technology.
Inside, the Jaguar XE, the dashboard features an 8-inch touchscreen instrument panel to access exciting features and functions. There’s a deep center console and a cockpit-like, sports-like riding comfort, spacious head and legroom, as well as the luxurious treatment of bespoke cabin furniture complete with technical fabrics, fine-grain leathers and contrasting twin-needle stitching. The handcrafted design also extends to gloss black, textured aluminum, contemporary wood veneer and carbon-fiber trim.
“Power of Agility in the Urban Jungle, the ownership of a Jaguar purrs with passion and excitement from the roots of its heritage when Sir William Lyons started in 1922 and still alive today with so much benefits from the advances of technology from the aluminum and magnesium metallurgy, suspension and advanced electronics. This is the foundation of what a Jaguar is,” Wellington C. Soong, Chair and President of Jaguar Cars Inc.
