Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) will launch the New City 1.5 E Limited Edition at the 6th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
The New City 1.5 E Limited Edition was developed to show appreciation to Filipino customers for their continuous support for Honda as HCPI’s 25th Anniversary celebration closes. HCPI’s desire to continuously innovate and develop products to cater to the dynamic lifestyles of their customers brought about the development of the Limited Edition variant for HCPI’s sole-locally manufactured model.
Boasting a more stylish exterior, the New City 1.5 E Limited Edition is equipped with Daytime Running Lights (DRL), which also makes the vehicle more visible even during daylight. Along with this, the New City 1.5 E Limited Edition is integrated with Door Visors to complement its stylish character, and to add convenience on rainy weather conditions. This new variant is also designed with a Limited Edition Emblem for a more exclusive customer ownership.
In terms of safety and convenience, the New City 1.5 E Limited Edition is equipped with a speed-sensing Auto Door Lock that automatically bolts all doors as the vehicle speed reaches 15kph. It also allows the vehicle to intelligently unlock all doors when the shift lever is set to Park Mode (P).
To further ensure customer safety, the Wave Key of the New City 1.5 E Limited Edition is now equipped with a Panic Button, which enables the vehicle to emit a loud alarm and flash its Headlights and Park Lights when the user long presses the button. The New City 1.5 E Limited Edition also retains the standard Honda vehicle safety features, such as driver and passenger SRS airbags and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD).
Under the hood of the New City 1.5 E Limited Edition is a 1.5 Liter i-VTEC engine with a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) developed under Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology. The new CVT allows seamless gear shifting, and provides quick throttle response for maximum fuel efficiency. It is also equipped with the Eco Assist system, which features the ECON mode that controls the engine, drive-by-wire, transmission, and air-conditioning performance. Fuel efficient driving is realized once the eco-coaching eco lamp lights up.
Customers are already encouraged to reserve the New City Limited Edition variant to be one of the few to take ownership of Honda’s exclusive offer.
The New City 1.5 E Limited Edition will be available in all Honda dealerships nationwide starting September 14, 2016 with a suggested retail price of Php 824,000.
